Going, Going, Gone. Twenty Days!!

This is a series of sunset pictures I took at the end of our last "Fun Day at Sea." This is the evening when we were coming back into the states. You can actually see one of the oil refineries in one of the pictures. They are a pretty common site when you are cruising out of and back into Louisiana. Also, the ocean was SO calm that night, it was almost like a lake on a really still evening. It was the most relaxing evening on the ocean I've ever had. (Well, except for the fact that we knew we had to get off the ship the next morning!) Enjoy!!

22 Days.....

A fun little turkey looking thing made up of ice cream and wafer pieces:

A tower of onion rings at Bubba Gumps in Nawlins'. One of my favorite places to eat in the world!! Too bad I was feeling yucky that night....almost too yucky to enjoy my dinner...sigh. :-(

And that concludes my food theme.....at least for now until I see another picture that looks tempting. :-) I think sunsets might be next......Til then, adios!!

Veggie Quesadilla onboard the ship....One of my favorite appetizers!!!!

Woe is me :-)

I am beyond ready to go on my next cruise, I find myself daydreaming about it, which is something I rarely do. I also have one of those digital picture frames in my living room that shows a picture slideshow constantly. I often stop because I see a picture I love and before I know it I have spent 10 minutes just standing in the middle of my living room staring at the pictures roll by. Since I have no hubby or kids (yet....) I will have to (woe is me) resign myself to wasting my time on board a boat, sailing 'cross the ocean blue.

Like this one:

Coming into Progresso:

She's waiting for us:

Snorkeling at Paradise Beach in Cozumel:

We were hanging over our balcony (shhhh, don't tell Donia's mom!):

Our hair was always whippin' in the wind:

That cork flew almost all the way to the other side of the river:

All of the girls on the bow:

I'll see ya when I need my next fix....which is looking like sooner rather than later!

They're at it again!!

That is, the dogs are at it again. Makin' me laugh!! So tonight I am sitting on the couch watching tv and surfing the internet, two of the things I do best, hehe. And I keep hearing this noise from the back room as if one of the dogs is digging into a walmart sack or something like it. So, being the thorough investigator I am, I shouted from the couch, "You dogs KNOCK IT OFF!!" That'll teach 'em.

But it didn't! I keep hearing the rattling, over and over. So I finally shouted Leo's name, cause usually when devious things are happening, it's Leo that is in the thick of it. Well, here comes Leo trotting down the hall, but the rattling is still happening! Yankee! If he's into it, it must be bad, especially if he won't stop when I yell (he usually does).

Sigh, so I get my happy butt off the couch, I know, it was stressful, but I'll be okay! And when I get into the back room, I see Yankee in a box. Yes, IN a box. This box is holding some gifts that I received from several students at the end of the school year-yes I know it's STILL sitting there when school was out weeks ago...Martha Stuart I am not.

Ok, the box is holding the gifts and Yankee. And Yankee has been helping himself to some of the things in the box, which happens to include several gift bags of the paper variety with the handles on the top, know which ones I'm talking about? Might look like this:

Well Yankee had somehow managed to get his NECK inside one of the handles, and had gotten his head stuck! Then, he ripped the entire bag off of it's handle, and all that was left was the handle and a little of the bag hanging off of Yankee's neck!!!! OMG, it was so funny. So, of course being the wonderful mommy I am, I had to help him get his head out....but not before I took some pictures for your enjoyment!

Come on Mom, aren't you going to get it off???

Leo had to check it out of course:

Here, let me help you out with that:

So now things are okay, the handle has been removed and I didn't even have to call my doctor friend for surgical advice, lol. But we know that next time they decide to pull a stunt like this that Leo will be the one to tear into the bag, cause we all know that his head is too big to get stuck!! Hehehehe.

Oh funny dogs.

A little belated, but here ya go!

Ok, so I know that I told Missy that I was going to do this yesterday, but things happened and it didn't get done. But that WASN'T because I wasn't thinking about cruising ALL day....it's because life happens. And life has been happening to me A LOT lately....and not fun life either. Life that makes me cry and stress and worry. Life that makes me question things and stray from my usual attitude-This too shall pass. I usually (at least I think) try to have a pretty good outlook on life...try to let things roll off my shoulders.....but the last week or so has proven that to be pretty difficult. I'm trying, I really am. But it's just tough for me at the moment.

Anyway, I need to show you this:

My first froo froo drink of the last cruise:

The girls chillin' on the balcony....yes I'm a balcony snob! LOL:

Palm tree in Progresso, Mexico:

We rode this bus around Progresso and got the history of the city, it was pretty cool!

Mom and dad in front of the ship before getting back on in Progresso....Dad, what's wrong with your arm?

I wore my tie dye shirt for a while in Progresso. The kids thought that was WAY cool!
